How can you keep your clock running well? Here are a couple tips:
- Like most major manufacturers, we recommend that our clients have their clocks regularly serviced (that is, lubricated and adjusted) every two years. Regular servicing keeps your clock running in peak condition today and can prevent repair issues in the future.
- If you need to move a grandfather or grandmother clock, the weights and pendulum should be removed and the chime rods and chains/cables should be secured. These parts of the clock all move when your clock is operating, and they’re very susceptible to damage (which can be very costly to repair).
